New Europe Advisers - Governance Services
NEA Governance Services
The corporate governance advice offered by NEA Governance Services is based on the experience gained from working with publicly listed entities as well as private firms in their pre-admission phase.
Executives of NEA have experience of working on governance related mandates for listed corporates as well as international bodies such as the International Finance Corporation. We have also been involved in mandates for emerging markets stock exchanges and listing authorities.
We believe that optimal governance is based around the ability to adapt established international best practice to the specifics of the geographic arena within which a firm operates. The suitability of certain models is predicated on the legal and cultural environment that the firm operates in and only an experienced adviser will be able to provide the necessary input to allow a suitable bespoke solution to be provided to a client firm.
As far as fund governance is concerned, NEA Governance Services distinguishes itself by not working with the mainstream providers of offshore directors. We believe that every fund director, must add real value to a fund’s board. The current situation where many fund boards are staffed by members who are there in order to make up the numbers with the express purpose of assisting with a fund’s legal and tax domiciliation has contributed to the creation of boards that provide little or no real value added and negligible comfort to investors.
NEA’s aim is to assist in the creation of fund boards that do provide real value. We assist by sourcing individuals who have appropriate experience and have the wisdom and integrity to provide real comfort to investors in their fund.
